School Profile
Girrawheen Senior High School has a student population of approximately 550 full time students catering for the learning years 8 through to 12. The community surrounding Girrawheen SHS has a diverse ethnic structure and the student population reflects the diverse cultural nature of the community. Students from Africa, Asia, Europe as well as Indigenous students and students from an Australian background enrol at the school. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum encouraging students to achieve a secondary school graduation and pursue further education and training at university, TAFE or employment post school.
Years 8 and 9 enjoy a Middle School ethos .The Senior School (Years 10, 11 and 12) embraces a curriculum that effectively combines an academic and a vocational focus predicated on equipping young people for their future educational and employment needs.
